There's s'mac (12th street between 1st and 2nd), for a variety of macaroni and cheese dishes. I'd also recommend some place with a lot of space like ACME, which also serves kid-friendly food like mac'n'cheese, mashed potatoes, burgers, etc., along with your typical cajun and southern comfort food classics. They have great drinks too, if you've had a long day with the kids and need one...

4-year ols. LOVE s'mac (much more than my kids do!!)

      3. Bubby's

        1. FYI, Time Out New York Kids is a magazine with an entire section devoted to kid-friendly restaurants throughout the city.

          1. The downstairs at BLT fish is kid friendly and very good.
            Otto
Blue Smoke (not sure where you draw the downtown line)
            Silver Spur
            Chat n Chew
            Comfort Diner

I would say most restaurants are kid friendly if you are eating at an early hour; Any east vill Italian would probably be good especially if you went at 6 or so.

            1. Bubby's (North Moore and Hudson) is definitely kid-friendly. However, beware if you go during brunch on Saturday or Sunday. They get crazy-busy and kids might get a little impatient waiting.

The Soda Shoppe (Chambers and W. Broadway) is a cute little spot with decent food and great ice cream sundaes. It's on the smaller side - but I've always been seated right away.

              1. Cowgirl's good for kids. I think they even have a kids' menu.
