Taking my parents to a knife skills class at the Viking Cooking School. Looking for a very nice, interesting place to take my parents too for lunch afterwards. Would like to stay on the cheaper side, and a BYOB would be an added bonus. Any thoughts?

Across the parking lot from the Viking School are two chains: Cosi and Bertuccis. BYOBs nearby that are open for lunch include Lourdas (Greek, next to the BM train station) and Cafe Fresko and Mediterranean Grill (in BM, on opposite sides of Lancaster Avenue). Although I have never had lunch there, my pick would be Cafe Fresko.

Mediterranean Grill. I love getting a bunch of their small plates, esp the yogurt dipping sauce with scallions. Delish.

My three cents: I can recommend highly Lourdas, Ha Long Bay, and Mediterranean Grill. If you are looking for almost guaranteed fast lunch service, Lourdas is for you... while Ha Long Bay can be iffy. I've only been to MG twice for lunch, but service was fine both times.

Does Lourdas have a less expensive lunch menu? The dinner menu is not inexpensive at all.

Well, yes. But your definition of less expensive may be different than mine. For dinner my wife and I get out of there frequently for about 50 bucks and I consider that relatively cheap for the Main Line. For lunch, I get a gyro (the same as they serve at dinner for 10 bucks) and it is 7 bucks.

I enjoy both Mediterranian Grill & Ha Long Bay. Mediterranian is BYOB but I am not sure about Ha long. The Abbriz (lamb slow cooked in a wonderful sauce) at Mediterranian is wonderful. Good atmosphere too.
