Business lunch places around Embarcadero

I'm always looking for decent business lunch places around Embarcadero that are not too demanding on the wallet..... any good tips?

The above mentioned are very good.

I would add One Market to the list, it's very busy and as a result the service can be slow sometimes but the food is very good especially the salads and the fish is always nicely prepared. The seating is very comfortable and the tables by the windows are extra nice.

Ozumo - Japanese, good food, beautiful interior with views. A great place to have a business meeting. The service is so so but the food and atmosphere makes up for it. They are opening a restaurant downtown Oakland soon.

Rubicon- Is one of my favorites, all around the perfect lunch spot.

Aqua- I know it gets bad reviews from time to time but I had a recent lunch experience that was excellent.

Aqua is demanding on the wallet, but a great spot for client or recruiting lunches (i.e., on the firm's dime, or rather, dollars).

Second the vote for Kokkari and Perbacco.

Also, tablehopper just wrote up a new place in the hood that sounds great, A new spot down the street:

The Italian-fest continues: just across from the Transamerica Building, the old Elisabeth Daniel/Tartare space reopened this week as ~CHIAROSCURO~, an Italian restaurant and lounge from Roman import Roberto Scaccia. Lunch is served Mon-Fri 11am-3pm, and dinner is Sun-Thu 5pm-10:30pm, and Fri-Sat 5pm-11:30pm. 550 Washington St. at Sansome St., 415-362-6012.

Stopped into Chiaroscuro to pick up menus and saw some colleagues eating. At the risk of getting the "hearsay!" objection, I'll simply say that my colleagues were quite disappointed with their food and thought much of it bland. But what I noticed was the noise level. The place is all hard surfaces, and although literally only two tables were occupied, every tiny sound was so magnified that I could not have a conversation with my colleagues comfortably. I can imagine how unpleasant it would be if crowded.

I'm eager to hear other reports.

I'm going to give it time. I hope they listen to the feedback.

We've been taking job candidates to lunch recently at Kokkari and Perbacco and have been very happy.

Can you state a price range and whether you mean before or after tax and tip?

I'm thinking about $25-$30 per person before tax/tip.

I would second Perbacco. Had an outstanding business lunch there a week ago. Food and service were outstanding. The cookie plate for dessert is three cookies but our server simply added one more since there were 4 of us. Very nice.
