Drinks near USC?

I'm meeting a friend for drinks tomorrow around 9:30, but completely do not know the area around USC. What's a good place for cocktails, and maybe a few munchies?

I'm coming from Century City, but closer to USC would work best for her after a long day of work. TIA

right around USC (on hoover) there's the 29th St Cafe, which serves wine and beer as well as a good selection of burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc. there's also the 901 (2902 S Figueroa Blvd), and that's more of a traditional "get wasted" college-student bar. as for downtown, my fave is bar 107 on 4th and main. total hipster dive bar with cheap drinks.

I'd suggest either the Figueroa Hotel or the Golden Gopher. Those are both more towards the main part of downtown, but not too far.

i'd probably head to opus or a korean cafe like bohemian, bliss, etc.

Wilshire Grand Hotel has a fun tiki 'esq bar called Point Moorea , Take Figueroa from USC about 2 1/2 miles, then left on Wilshire. Valet parking at the hotel.
