Sat. dinner near 2nd & Washington

My wife and I have show at the Mummer's Museum on Saturday night. I don't know the area well at all and need a recommendation for dinner. We will be dressed casual (jeans and button down shirt). We love italian, mexican, seafood and good american. We would be eating around 6:00 PM.

Thanks!

I'll second the Plaza Garibaldi recommendation. Great food, good service, and a lot of food for the buck.

I would head west on Washington for a few blocks and go to Plaza Garibaldi, between 9th and 10th on Washington on the north side. They have great (and authentic) Mexican food. Tacqueria Veracruzana is across the street from Garibaldi, but if you're going to sit down for dinner I'd recommend Garibaldi. Get the enchiladas suizas. You will be close to a large number of good Mexican and Italian places.

Check out this post on this very blog: Trattoria la Costiera

I would have to agree with them. The place is great and not far from where you will be. About 8 blocks away. If you have a car, drive. If you walk, cross Washington Ave from Mummers Museum and walk north 4 blocks on 2nd St. to Catharine St, then turn left on Catharine and walk up to Passyshunk Ave, about 4 blocks. Restaurant is on your Right.
