Since everyone seems to be fighting a cold...

Amidst the sniffling and sneezing in the subway and on the street, I must know: best chicken soup in NYC? Preferably with noodles, of course, and maybe even a matzo ball?
And, especially for delivery? (The better to avoid the germs!)

  1. Well, since the demise of the Second Avenue Deli (wahh), I have become a fan of the soup at Artie's Deli on the UWS. For non-matzo ball...the chicken soup at Clinton Restaurant on the LES is amazing.

    1. if you like dense matzo balls like i do, you gotta try the soup at eisenberg's sandwich shop.

my other favorite chicken soup is from el malecon. it has plenty of garlic to clear out the nasal pasages, and i love the chunks of yucca.

      1. Some say Sarge's:

I prefer a nice bowl of Tom Yum Gai to help battle a cold. But that's just me. : )

        1. I suggested chicken soup from Sarge's to our daughter, who has been battling a cold the last few days. But she prefers pho, which she has been ordering from Bao Noodles, on 2nd Av., b/t 22nd & 23rd Sts. If you are in that delivery area, they will bring it to your door.
