asdf, thanks so much for the rec -- dinner was fantastic. very chic, good food, out-of-the-way from the sheinkin mainstays (which i appreciate) and very romantic. thanks!

thanks, that has potential. she acts like a picky eater sometimes, but she actually tends to like most everything new she tries. She claimed to dislike sushi, indian, ethiopian, and these days she requests them most often. The food sounds interesting -- is it too deconstructed for the finicky eater?

Carmela be Nachala is great. 46 Ha Tavor St. It really captures the best of the Israeli food scene. It is a creative and thoughtful take on regional foods. Think deconstructed middle eastern stuff, or pears grilled with olive oil. Completely non-kosher if that matters.
