Salade Frisee aux Lardons

Vert used to serve a pretty good one but, alas, it's no longer on their menu. Any suggestions for other options appreciated.

  1. Lily's on Abbott Kinney. Delicious, with a nice soft poached egg over the top.

    1. Wine Bistro has a pretty good Salad Frisee aux Lardons - with ample lardons. One caveat, to my taste, they overdress it.

      1. I do miss the Salad Frisee at Vert. You may see Frisee salads disappearing momentarily as that green is not doing well in the frosty conditions up north (not properly blanching), so supplies are tight.

              absolutely mimosa. and a great poached leeks with lentils. and then a floating island for dessert!

                Last time that I was there, in November, they were having a special regional meal to complement the Beaujolais Nouveau and they had this fantastic dish of poached eggs in red wine. Divoon!
