Site Outage This Morning

We're sorry about the recent outage. Engineering isn't quite sure what caused it but they're working on tracking down the different errors. We'll continue to focus on site stability as a main priority. Thanks for your patience.

Just fyi: During that outage I was switching back and forth between a PC running IE 7.0.5730.11 with XP Home and a Mac Powerbook running Safari on OS X. On the PC I was getting a "down for maintenance" message fairly promptly; on the Powerbook it took about three or four minutes to download a "proxy error" message. Never did get a "down for maintenance" message on the Powerbook.
We just received word that they're experiencing DNS problems at our data center due to some faulty equipment, but they're working on the problem now.
