Norma's in Salinas? (or Watsonville or Prunedale)

Melanie Wong Jan 29, 2007 08:14 PM

Norma's opened 4 days ago on John Street at the T-intersection with Monterey Street. The previous occupant of this coffee shop/diner spot was dreadful, so I think this can only be an improvement. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the homemade corned beef hash sounded good, but I was only window-shopping.

Owned by Daniel Boudreault and Norma Boudreault, promoting "home style cooking, healthy foods", this is the third location. The other two are in Watsonville and Prunedale. Any experience to share at any of the branches?

I have been very disappointed with the Norma's in Watsonville. It's similar to Denny's, but not as good.

Thanks for the warning . . . though the corned beef hash is still calling me . . . maybe.
