Free wi-fi in Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Red Hook or Boerum Hill

There hasn't been a thread on this in a while, so I thought I'd post and see what's available in the area.

What cafes do you know are good for a cup of coffee, a snack and getting some work done?

Free wi-fi that I know of:
Naidre's (Henry + Sackett)
Tea Lounge (Court + Douglass)
Fall Cafe (Smith + Union)

The Tea Lounge is usually too overrun by kids to get any actual work done and I find Fall Cafe dingy. Anyone know of any other places in these neighborhoods with free wi-fi?

I am pretty sure Baked has free wi-fi. Sometimes the kids can be a problem, but definitely not dingy. And ooo-ee yummy chocolate cloud cookies!

Sorry to jab but..."The Tea Lounge is usually too overrun by kids to get any actual work done ".

I always thought the Tea Lounge is usually too overrun by wi-fiers to get any actual work done.

Seriously though...what ever happened to staying at home to get work done? The thought of sitting on couches across from 20-30 other folks with laptops ( and yes, 20-30 yuppie Moms and their kids ) is kinda nuts to me. Too bad, I think Tea Lounge makes a -fabulous- latte.

I always get them to go. Then I go home and get some work done.

        ; )

I do usually work from home, but it's just nice to change your surroundings every now and then. And in the summer, hey free air conditioning :)

I do occasionally meet with clients in the neighborhood too, and I prefer to do that in a cafe rather than in my apartment.

Does Tazza on Henry and Atlantic have wifi? What about Marquet on Court? Bagels by the Park on Smith?

Tazza does not have wifi - nor can I ever find a plug for my laptop.

re Cafe Nova - really? I was unable to get anything free there, I thought they were just a hotspot for Boingo.
