I went there the other night for dinner at 5:15 p.m. as there was nothing else available until 9:30. I was amazed at how crowded the place was at 5 and it stayed that way. I had lobster chowder with lots of pieces of lobster in it and it was very good. I had the sea bass for the main course and an apple cake with ice cream on it for dessert. The bread was delicious, the service was great, and BYO. Everything was excellent and i definitely would go back again.

  1. I am always surprised how few people are familiar with this restaurant, which is hidden away in a nondescript strip mall near Menlo Park. However, they seem to have a loyal following as the restaurant is busy every night of the week.

    I used to work in the area and we often took customers to Lou Cas. We were never disappointed. The food is very good and the service friendly and efficient. If you don't have a reservation, get there early!

    1. Agreed! Found out about LouCas on these boards a while ago as it's a halfway point to meet another couple. The menu is huge so there is something for everyone! The prices are fair and since it's a BYO, the dinner bill is usually reasonable. Lots of great specials, too. They do a good osso buco.
