Yatka Mein Soup
When I was a kid, every Chinese restaurant in the area had a soup on the menu called Yatka Mein Soup. It was basically noodle soup with strips of shredded pork. The noodles were always flat, long, and maybe 1/8" wide. With one exception - South Pacific in Newton - I don't see it around at all anymore. Does anyone know of any restaurants in the area that still make this soup?
Thanks.

There is a place near Providence, RI that has "Yatka Mein" on one of three menus, the "Szechuan and Hunan Style" menu. Here are links to all three:
1. Szechuan and Hunan Style - http://www.luckyandpearl.com/americanmenu.php
2. Dum Sum - http://www.luckyandpearl.com/dimsum.php
3. Chinatown Style - http://www.luckyandpearl.com/chinesem...It's worth a trip from Boston for the stir fried fish with tofu as well as others.
