Anthoninos on the Hill...St. Louis

Any feedback on this? My daughter and I were planning to do lunch there, with a couple of female cousins.

  1. Sauce Magazine has a user review that sounds like the owner's daughter wrote it:

Great, casual atmosphere, genuinely nice owners & wonderful food! There is something for everyone at Anthonino's! Great for lunch or dinner, friendly environment & quality, fresh food. Try it, you'll like it!

    1. I've been there a few times and every time it has been really good. I've tried the gyro and mixed kabob (I think that's what it is called.) The review above is right...the people there are really nice and very accommodating. We went once with my one-year-old niece and the waitress was extremely friendly and took a lot of time out playing with her.

      1. I've been there and I think they do a good job. Service was very good. The iced tea and hummus dip was excellent. The gyro was good but not as good as those at the late Colossus. The gyro is about the same as what you get at Michael's on Manchester.

        1. My family and friends LOVE Anthoninos! They make their fresh pasta in-house, and have good Greek selections (more than a few choices for vegetarians in Greek and Italian, actually). Falafel sand with hot sauce makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The pizza and house salad are always delish, and the owners and managers are fantastic--on one occasion, our kid's friend asked for something that wasn't on the menu, and the manager went to the store to accommodate her. That's service. Genuine neighborhood atmosphere a bonus.
