(PHX) Bagels

  • 9

I'm compiling a report of all the decent bagels i can find in Phoenix. Here's what I've got so far: Chompies, NY Bagels and Bialys, Back East (Tempe), D.J.'s Bagel Cafe (Fountain Hills), a bagel shop at Tatum/Bell whose name I've forgotten, Lox, Stock and Bagel, Karsh's, and to be fair, Einstein Bros. I have it in mind to go to the News Cafe (not sure if they bake in shop though) and to get a grocery store bagel. What are the other places I need to hit up? I haven't been anywhere in the west valley, cause I don't know of anything.

  1. Kashman's @ Scottsdale Rd and Pinnacle Peakalso does a great bagel....unfortunately the only thing I know of on the west side is Einsteins.

    1. Bruegger's http://www.brueggers.com

While you're in the neighborhood of Lox, Stock, and Bagel, you might as well go to Goldman's Deli. I don't know if they make them, themselves. 6929 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85250

Another place you can get a bagel is Orange Table. I doubt they make them. 7373 E Scottsdale Mall, Scottsdale, AZ

And, the other recent thread mentioned BagelNosh. Looks like their website is homemade. http://www.bagelnosh.net

      2. Way out west, here, we have Way Out West bagels (sometimes known as WOW) in Litchfield Park and New York Bagels in Goodyear.

Bruegger's (chain) are much better than Einstein's, which I refer to as 'air bagels' and the frothy noncheese they serve is 'air cheese.'

For grocery store bagels, Albertson's aren't bad.
