BOARDS Link not Working?

DiningDiva Jan 27, 2007 09:52 PM

Is the Boards link working or not. When I logged on this evening that dreadful, hard to read right hand column with all the board names didn't come up. I clicked on the Boards link at the top of the page. The names in the right column flashed and then disappeared. At this point I can only access the boards on which I have previously posted using My Chow. I read a lot of boards on which I don't post. I'm not able to do this now.

Is it you, or is it me.................

Can you post a screenshot? We can't seem to duplicate the issue on our end.

The flash and disappearing feature happened to me too. But I finally realized that if I dragged the cursor into the field where the board list is it will pop back up again and your back in business.

Clicking on the "Boards" link doesn't bring you to a list of the boards... but clicking on the arrow to the right of the word "Boards" will bring you to a drop-down list of all the boards.

After upgrading to FireFox 2.0 the arrows for the "boards" (and all others across the top) are gone. What I have now across the top of the page is:

"Chow Home Recipes ClearBoards ClearStories ClearBlogs ClearVideos"

beneath this is: my Chow Clear

I've given up even trying to navigate out of New Posts back to my home board.

The switch boards is so tiresome, I now only check new posts on my home board and don't even bother to try and keep up on the other 8-9 I used to enjoy monitoring. If the drop down menu arrow ever returns, so will I.

While on the subject of New Posts, what possibly is the thinking in having the title of every new or updated thread begin with "New Posts"? Makes scanning the subject lines very irritating.

Just noticed that visiting my Chow I find the top banner is normal (i.e. Recipes, Boards, Stories, etc. are all there with their white arrows and my Chow on the far right, and the row of Posts, Activities, Favorites.... etc. is below. Just tried clearing the cache in the browser with no luck.

After returning to normal for a couple of days, still experiencing the same problem, again with the exception of the my Chow page.

If you click the arrow to the right of the word "Boards," a drop down menu listing all of the boards will be visible.

Hmm. I just checked this both Firefox and IE. I am not seeing the same issue. Perhaps restarting your computer would help?
