Bistro 31?

Anyone eaten here? It's about two minutes from my house and when I saw the prices on the menu my eyes bugged out. Coq au Vin for $9.95? Seared scallops for $6.25?

I know it is run by student chefs, but are they reasonably competent or are you as likely to get a real stinker as opposed to a good meal?

  1. They're really sweet and well meaning, but the one time we went there my dad said, "Next time let's go somewhere the chef has finished school." More misses than hits. But still not a bad idea to go and support them and yeah it's definitely cheap.
