Does anybody know of any uyghur restaurants in the dallas area? i visited last summer and i'm craving some lamb kebabs! oh man, my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it....

i know in some of the cities with a larger asian percentage (la, nyc, montreal), there are uyghur restaurants....and it seems like more and more are reportedly popping up all over. just wondering if there were any upcoming in the dallas area or even in texas...

thanks!

Are you thinking of Lion City on the corner of Custer/Parker? I've eaten there a few times, but not recently. If it's the same place, then they're from Singapore. Although there are some very interesting items on the menu.

Hum there is a chinese place on Parker & Custer NW corner on the inside of the shopping center that servers Lamb Kabobs. I believe they are Chinese Muslims so they might be what you are looking for. I will check to see if they are still on my way home.

As far as I know, the closest you're going to come is if you eat the delicious food of David Uygur at Lola's!

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'm assuming the closest you're really going to come is some of the Middle Eastern spots around town, but they hardly qualify.

For those who have no clue as to what "Uyghur/Uighur" food is, this is how I educated myself:
