Spanish - Anis Extra Seco?
I have a bottle of Anis (sic) Extra Seco, but I have no idea what to do with it? It will taste like licorice, i assume, but what should I be mixing it with? Any drink recipes?
Its also 55% alcohol.
I have a bottle of similar liquor, from the Spanish town of Chinchon. I use it primarily as an after dinner digestif, but I've also recently found that it substitutes very well for Absinthe in a Sazerac (rye whisky, bitters, anis liquor, lemon peel, simple syrup).
You can add a shot to coffee or put some hair on your chest and have the typical Spanish "old man" drink--sol y sombra--half anis, half brandy.
