Harrisburg Recs?

Hey everyone,
NYC Chowhound here visiting Harrisburg for the first time. We will be eating Sunday evening so we need a place that's open then. High end is not necessary, we're more interested in "Mom and Pop" type places, friendly and locally owned. We eat everything. No restrictions of any kind. Just good food and maybe some good cocktails or wine.

Thanks in advance for your help! We're staying at the Radison but we'll have a car.

Swing me a message if you ever need NYC recs!

  1. Jeremy - so sorry I didn't see this post until today. I usually struggle to find a place to eat in Harrisburg. One of my favorite close-to-Harrisburg spots is called "Piatto" in Carlisle, PA. Seasonal, fresh italian food at a family-run BYOB.

All the hot spots in Harrisburg seem to be on 2nd Avenue. There is Haydn's on Pine (a steak house) that I have been wondering about. Sounds like it would be very good.

Where did you end up eating?
