Dinner near Friendship Heights Metro?

Hi - I'm trying to find somewhere to go to dinner tonight with a few people near the Friendship Heights metro or somewhere along Connecticut Ave., within that vicinity. One person in my group suggested La Lomita Dos, which I've seen has received okay reviews. Any suggestions for places to eat around there? We'll eat practically anything. Thanks!

    Buck's is great. But try out Le Chat Noir. Its between Friendship Heights and Tenleytown Metro stations on Wisconsin. The galettes are great and excellent value. It also has a la carte options for if you want something more formal.

      Yosaku between Friendship and Tenley is a great Japanese place.

        Thanks for the posts....Are there any other possibilities (since now one of us has a car) that are more south on Connecticut, as far south as the plaza where Buck's Fishing and Camping is located?

          I've been to Indique Heights. Advantage...it's right there cuz it's gonna be cold again tonite. The food was OK. I had some kind of sampler platter and some apps. I do remember that there was a hammock-like place to sit in the waiting area.

          Nothing else to recommend it.

            I went to Indique heights a few months ago and thought it was pretty good--comparable certainly to the Indique in CP.

            I would recommend it.

            Friendship Heights Metro is about 1/2 mile from the little shopping area you have in mind on Conn. Ave. Lomita Dos is not very good (though I do eat there when I am in the area and get a Tex Mex itch).

            Easy walking distance to Friendship Heights Metro: Indique Heights (literally on top of the Metro station -- Indian, and good); Lia's (Willard Ave); Clyde's (Wisconsin Ave); Cafe M and Famoso (Wisconsin Ave); Alfio's (an old throwback to Italian from 25 years ago -- Willard Ave); Chadwick's (Wisc. Ave); Cheesecake Factory (Wisc. Ave.) ... And no doubt others.

            If you consider one Metro stop farther intown (Tenley) or one stop farther out (Bethesda), you have quite a few additional options..
