Mandoo 2w32 bet b'way and 5

  • 2

Walking from Penn Station over to Madison Ave, I stumbled upon Mandoo around 1pm. The place was packed and the service was very polite and fast. I had an absolutely delicious dumpling soup and a beer. Tab came to 13 bucks. I was stuffed and satiated in less than 20 minutes. Most other folks seemed to be downing bibimbob or something very interesting looking and satisfying in hot pots that goes for 8.99.

  1. Yeah, it's OK. A bit pricey for what it is, doesn't always hit the spot for me. Isn't it related to the more buzzed-about (and controversial) Rickshaw Dumpling Bar further downtown?

    1. No it has no relation to Richsaw Dumpling Bar at all. Mandoo bar is strictly Korean. The dumplings are definitely korean as they are made with traditional korean fillers -- especially the ones with Kimchee. The rest of the menu is typical Korean fare and I would say quite good being Korean myself. :) Rickshaw is Chinese
