Photo upload glitch

Just uploaded 2 photos to http://www.chowhound.com/topics/363419

The first (leftmost) photo thumbnail appears only as a vertical bar, while the second photo is a full square thumbnail.

This happened about 24 hours ago on another post, on a single-photo posting attempt.

We updated our uploading code, so this problem should be eliminated. Please let us know if it is not.

I also notice that photos can only be loaded landscape. Photos in a portrait orientation get cut off. Will this feature be improved?

Just uploaded photos to this post, but the portrait photos are still coming out cropped at the top. Will this be fixed or is this a permanent glitch?
