Houston Churrascaria other than Fogo de Chao?

Are there any places in Houston that is similar to FOC but without the price?

  1. There have been a couple come and go but the only other one now I know of is Nelore, on Montrose. I understand it's a bit cheaper but I haven't been.

    1. I have been to Nelore, it's a nice atmosphere, less of a huge room filled with big groups on business dinners. I thought it was very good.

      1. If you can live without the "all you can eat" factor, Churrascos is also an excellent Churrascaria. Menu available at

I absolutely adore Churrascos! The lunch menu is a great "try it out" experience as the prices are much lower. My favorite location is on Westheimer near Westchase - probably only a mile or two from the Beltway!

        2. Try Pradira on Westheimer, great food and customer service.
I think it is 5 star resturant

          1. Though not the traditional, coin flip place, Sal y Pimienta does a great job with grilled meats. They are right across the street from a traditional place, Tejas de Brazil. Haven't been to that one so can't say one way or another. Since this thread, Houston seems to have exploded with Churrascarias. Could be because of the paleo/low carb fad. Right, paleogeek?
