Pure Tofu at Musha. Anywhere else?

Had another great meal at Musha in Santa Monica. That place never ceases to impress.

Had the Pure Tofu for the first time: big bowl of freshly made (I assume) tofu with simple sides of salt, scallion, some sort of mustard, and soy sauce.

Really divine. I'm over near the grove/wilshire area; does anyone no of any similar dishes that I won't have to drive quite so far for?

Torafuku also has homemade tofu. Really tasty. They also have great rice, great pork tonkatsu, and zuke (marinated tuna) over rice. Not too much closer, but it's right next to the Westside Pavilion.

Try Mishima, Hirozen or Tokyo Table.

Beverly Soon Tofu has it, but only as a side dish and they only give you two little circles of it (no refills on that item, as far as I know). Maybe if you asked super nicely they'd let you buy a dish of it?

I love getting take out from Mishima. Does tokyo table do takeout?

I haven't been there yet, but the tofu at Vinh Loi Tofu in Reseda is supposed to be top notch.

I really like the tofu with thousand year old egg at Mandarin Deli.
