No More Restaurant Luna

  • 6

Restaurant Luna in Mount Kisco has changed owners and is now called Woody's Cafe, I think. Anyone been inside? Anyone know if it is even open yet?

  1. What happened to Luna? We loved that place, but since it's not near us we didn't get there very often.

    1. I was going to ask about this as well... I saw that Woody's is now open (or so the sign says outside) ... I saw it mentioned online as "upscale" but other than that no idea... has anyone been there?

      1. i'll check it out chocolate chick and let you know - i was never impressed w/Luna's and we're always looking for new places in this area -Mt. Kisco/Cross River/ Katonah etc - will let you know

Hey mspen, I recently went with my family to "Woody's on Main". The restaurant has a fresh coat of paint, and a slightly upadated menu. They kept the wood buning oven so those menu items stayed the same. The food was good, but not real inspired. My husband has a steak that had hot cherry peppers and he liked it very much but it was real hot (the description said sweet cherry peppers) and I had the ribs which were also good but were served with a boring potato salad and bland zucchini slaw. It still felt like Luna. The desserts (which of course is my favorite part) were just boring. The usual standards creme brulee, molten chocolate cake... and we shared their monsterous ice cream sundae. Good, but also boring. So, I guess not too much has changed.

I don't know I have to disagree about the desserts being boring. It was a few months back, but they had a dessert that was pound cake that had been grilled then cut into cubes, drizzled with melted chocolate, and served with lemon curd, fondue-style. It was delicious and very different.

        2. i'm thinking about going to woody's on main for a girls' night out. good choice? i'm also thinking of going to the flying pig, temptation tea house, cafe of love, and the heights bistro in yorktown heights. any advice would be great!
