Sacramento - Near Capitol

Attending a conference at Sheraton Grand, near the Capitol in Sacramento. I would love lunch/dinner suggestions in walking distance. Thanks

Thanks, I'll report back with what I find if I can get out of the hotel meetings. Yes, Fat's brings many pleasant memories - walnut shrimp especially.

Lots of restaurants near the Sheraton. Some other good suggestions:

Gaylord India (14th & O - nice walk south through Capitol Park)
      Pennisi's Deli (13th & J - across the street!)
Side Bar Cafe (13th & I - inside the Attorney General's Building, great food very cheap)
      Spataro's (14th & L)
Brew It Up! (14th & H - HUGE selection of fresh beers and good food)
      Chops (11th & L - aged steaks on site)

Fats is very good for Chinese food

A short cab ride away is BIBA's.

You read my mind. Fat City and Biba's were the two I was thinking of!

I don't want to start a flame war or anything, but Frank Fat's (on L Street) is good for Chinese food made for the non-Chinese palate...and banana cream pie, too. The other members of the Fat family of restaurants are really good at Chinese fusion. You should go elsewhere if you're looking for more authentic Chinese fare.
