Weekday Lunch 8th Ave/Chelsea?

Hi - I'm reconnecting with a former work colleague, and looking for a reasonably priced lunch spot in lower Chelsea - a place where we can have a bit of privacy for a business & personal conversation. Suggestions welcome!

Depending on the cuisine you want, I'd also put in a plug for La Grainne Cafe on 9th and 21st, for lighter lunch fare, or if you can handle something in the $20pp range, I'd recommend the Green Table in Chelsea Market.

Funny coincidence - I actually picked up a pot pie to go at The Cleaver Company this evening, and noticed The Green Table dining room. If not tomorrow, then soon!

I had lunch at Flight 151 the other day, and it was pretty much empty, so good for private conversation. Standard bar food, although how long places like this can survive in Chelsea is anyone's guess.

Rocking Horse it is! I can't go to Flight 151 - I have too many memories of going to "all you can drink" events there 10-15 years ago! Thanks for the advice.

Rocking Horse is a good option. Also, Maroons, Bright Food Shop, Safran.

I would do Rocking Horse. As you probably know, there are a lot of mediocre places down there but Rocking Horse is a standout. Ask to sit in the back where it's a lot quieter. Food is great too!
