Steak Frites @ La Bonne Soupe or huge steak at Bistecca Fiorentina?

shopgirl Jan 22, 2007 08:22 PM

Going to Radio City Music Hall early Feb. From this board, I heard about La Bonne Soupe for steak frites. Being married to a real steak/frites guy...will the steak be large enough? If 16-oz., then that's great. I've heard about Bistecca Fiorentina with HUGE steaks, but I think they're a bit expensive.
Anyone been to either and can comment? I'm looking for before the show dinner with steak, fries & wine.
Thank you very much.

Definately not a huge steak, but with the good salad and bread served with the meal, it makes for a good an filling lunch.

Also, the onion soup is not a bad way to start if he still wants more food. And there is always the crepe option ... ;o)

I doubt that the steak at La bonne soupe is 16 ounces. However, it is good. You can look at the menu on their website.

LBS is pretty good value for their steak frites, and the location is good too. I've been going there for 7-8 years, happily enough.
