Pumpkin in Boston area?

My friend's birthday is Wednesday and she loves everything pumpkin. Any suggestions for pumpkin based treats that are available this time of year?

Thanks

I also love pumpkin foods. the homemade pumpkin tortellini at giacomo's in the north end is amazing. the kaddo at helmand is excellent- and if you are vegetarians, go for a bunch of appetizers including the kaddo.

Just walked past Bin 26, which professes to have a "Chocolate Delight with Pumpkin Cream" on their dessert menu.

I think Lyndell's bakery, in Ball Square Somerville, has pumpkin turnover-type-cookies. Haven't tried them.

Dok Bua frequently has a delicious pumpkin custard for dessert...

I agree with the Helmand recommendation (though I seem to recall that it works better as an appetizer that it did in an entree).

I'd add the pumpkin tortellini, which always seems like a popular dish.

That Afghani restaurant by Cambridgeside Gallery, called the Helmand, is supposed to have some awesome pumpkin dishes.

That's Helmand's "Kaddo" appetizer, and it is indeed very delicious.
                And cheap.

I think you can get it either as an appetizer or as an entree (maybe as part of a combo?), as well as in vegetarian and meat-enhanced versions.
