Looked it up- hasn't been written about since 2001. Place called Sal and Paul's Pizza on Pitkin Avenue- between Chester and Rockaway. (Just started working over there- excited to find it).
Has a cracker-ish crust, great bread, a little chewy, nice complement of sauce and cheese. If for some reason anyone ever finds themselves in Brownsville- it's a great stop. Hard to get to- best way is by car.
Best slice (aside from the obvious like Difara's) that I've had in quite some time. I will return- alot.

well i wouldn't say no one knows about it -- i'm the one who posted about sal and paul's on pitkin way back when. i had havent had a slice there since i think back in sept, but it was still pretty tasty.

so welcome to the hood. there is a standard deli on pitkin past rockaway towards pennsylvania that is good too. i forget the name. also, the newer chubby's deli on east ny ave in front of the precinct also makes decent sandwiches & stuff. and of course on pitkin there is always my fav fast food joint, GOLDEN KRUST, which moved across the street. you wont starve around there!

Thanks...I'll check out those other places (except for Golden Crust- not a big fan). It's funny that I live near almost no good pizza (grimaldi's is the exception- but no slices) and had to come all the way to Brownsville to get a great slice.
