Hello! I will be going to Bangkok armed with many suggestions off this board, but I wanted some suggestions for a celebratory dinner somewhere "nice".

Also, any recent suggestions for Koh Samui dining?

Thanks!

A couple years back I enjoyed some great meals at Drop Inn in Chaweng, Koh Samui. Probably best to check for some more current reviews. If you want to go really upscale in Bangkok look into eating at one of restaurants in a top hotel. Oriental and Penninsula are good places to start. Don't expect authentic Thai cuisine there though.

We had fun on one of those rice barge dinners floating down the Chao Phraya. We did Loy Nava, but I think the Oriental and some other hotels do them too. http://www.loynava.com/
