Looking for Soul Food / Caribbean Catering for Wedding

My fiancee and are planning to get married in May.

We have our venue booked but it does not provide catering, therefore we are looking to hire our own. Craigslist hasn't been that great of a help. Currently we are looking at 60-90 people, and are planning a small intimate wedding. We would like to have a buffet style with an eclectic mix of ethnic food (Caribbean and Soul Food).

Anyone know of any businesses that can do this, or even a reasonable website that can point us in the right direction.

  1. There's a great soul Food/Southern restaurant in Chelsea called Marroons. Not sure if they cater, but it's worth a try. The restaurant is really great!

    1. Brawta in Brooklyn Heights is very good. Jamaican is their specialty, I think. They should be equipped to handled your needs.

      1. Stir It Up on Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn does catering. Whether they can handle 90 people or not, I don't know. They are very inexpensive, authentic and tasty.

        1. I recommend contacting either Amy Ruth's or Justin's and seeing if they cater

          1. Melba's in Harlem has wonderful soul/comfort food, and does catering.
