tekka - secret to getting a seat?

i've been wanting to try tekka, but i'm not going to stand out there at 6:30 trying to get a table. there must be a easier way.

lunch perhaps? lunch on saturday? someone must know.

At Tekka there are basically two "shifts": one at 7:00, and one around 9:00.

so where to i snack first to hold out till 9?

and what's the back up plan?

The backup plan is sushi at Okina on Arguello. Th, F, S only. Simple, excellent sushi. Like Tekka, cash only. No fancy rolls, nothing cooked.

Never hurts to call to make sure Tekka is actually open.

No lunch, no Saturdays. Go after 9pm and hope that someone leaves.
