Happy Hour Eats in Downtown San Jose

I am looking for a place in Downtown San Jose that has a good happy hour menu. Ideally, it would have great drinks and cheap eats (i.e. 1/2 price appetizers), but I am not looking for fried cheese or peanuts. Looking for something on Friday night before a game. Thanks in advance.

McCormick & Schmick's has a $1.95 happy hour bar menu that features a pretty decent 1/2 pound burger and fries. There is a two drink (regular price) minimum but they don't usually enforce it. I think happy hour is 4:30-6 and 9:30-11pm on weekdays.

19 Market (Vietnamese) has a $4 happy hour menu in the bar featuring both mixed drinks and food, and $2 draft beer. I love the baby clam salad and fried anchovies.

Cuccini (on Almaden Ave, behind 71 St. Peters) has $1 imported draft beers and a pretty standard bar menu. Lots of Sharks fans stop by here for a beer before games.

Blue Monkey on San Fernando has a $5 happy hour special for a beer and two tacos, and the tacos are excellent!

Thanks for the list. I like M&S for several reasons, now including the $1.95 burger and fries. That plus a very good stiff drink or two makes a good pre-game meal!
