In Cannes for MIDEM. Any recommendations?

First time poster here. I'm in Cannes for a few days for a music industry conference. Very much looking forward to trying a few not-so-expensive spots that have been discussed in this forum including La Brouette de Grand-Mère and Le Mère Besson. Walked past both tonight to check out the scene. Naturally, both were packed and I'll be sure to make reservation tomorrow. I think Villa des Lys (attached to our hotel) has a lunch for around 40 Euro. Will definitely let you know how it all goes!

If anyone has any other recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I'm surprised and excited by the number of moderately priced tables in this town!

If you want to head over to Nice, try La Merenda. It's a tiny place that doesn't look very promising, but the food is wonderful. Cash only. No phone, so the only way to get a reservation is to stop by.
