I have not eaten there in years. Heard the owner had cancer and restaurant went down after he left for treatment. Has anyone eaten there lately. thought about giving it another try.

It always annoys me when people do that, and here I am contribuiting to it.

Longwood, north of Orlando. It's a vintage Italian restaurant called Enzo's on the Lake.

Enzo died late last year. He had been living in Rome.

In my opinion the restaurant has not changed. Enzo's wife -- I guess ex-wife -- had run the place for several years while he was involved with other ventures.

In my opinion, the food is above average, but not sensational. The room -- a converted house -- is very chopped up and uncomfortable. The general attitude from the staff is that if you are not a regular, you get treated differently, like an outsider.
