Joanne Kates reviews Globe Bistro again
Here is a link to the article: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servle...
The article in this Saturday's Globe and Mail makes no mention of recently departed Mark Cutrara. The reveiew is of the same food I ate there back in early December, but she writes as if implying these are all the creations of Ben Heaton. I hope Globe is as good as it was when I dined there, the review indicates to me that it may not be.

I was there this month.
It was excellent and the prices are very fair for what you get. Especially the wine markups that are among the lowest in town.
Didn't post a review as I didn't take notes and was there with a group.›2 Replies-

Yes, The Champagnes (about the most expensive wines on the list seemed to be marked up a maximum of $50 - i.e. less than 100% markup) and The 'Six Foot Six' Pinot Noir (one of my benchmarks for checking winelists as it's only available through consignment) was $50 - the lowest I've seen in T.O. - it's usually $60-75 and I've seen it at $85 and, I think, $95.
