Chinese New Year

Any recommendations for a place that does Chinese New Year in lower Westchester?

Imperial Wok has not been getting good reviews here lately, and Hunan Village no longer has Paul.

Any and all ideas will be welcome.

A couple of years ago we had a terrific Chinese New Year dinner at Pagoda on Central Ave. I have no idea what their alcoholic drink situation is.

Sorry, I did it again. I didn't specify that this group wants a drink of some kind. Not just me, honest!

Yes, Aberdeen I imagine would be really good.

So far we've thought of Tung Hoy and Golden Rod, if they do this kind of meal.

Dolores, I may well be wrong but Tung Hoy being a very Americanized -Chinese type of place, may not be the best for this. If they do Chinese New Year banquets at all, I'd doubt they offer a true Chinese New Year banquet with traditional dishes. I haven't been to Golden Rod but, from the street (and yes, never judge a book...) it seems like it would be similar to Tung Hoy (and Lum Yen in Mamaroneck for that matter).

        Just my thoughts.

Hi Dolores, I haven't gotten there yet but from all the positive talk here about Aberdeen in WP I'd imagine that would be a good place to explore for Chinese New Year.

A group of us went to Aberdeen last year for a Chiense New Year banquet, with, I thought, excellent results.
