Cream Liquors in freezer

Is the alcohol in cream liquors (amarula in this case, 17%) freeze or stay liquid in a typical home freezer?

Any bartenders have any formulas to work with for figuring this out in the future?

I kept a bottle of Amarula in my freezer for a little while. It didn't freeze solid, but it did get some really interesting ice chips in it that were pretty cool. I remember drinking it straight out of the freezer or mixed with a bit of cognac.
