Looking for 4 dozen oysters tomorrow--Berkeley Farmers Market perhaps?

Cheesy Oysters Jan 19, 2007 08:11 PM

A group of us are hosting a dinner for 12 and we need 4 dozen oysters. We'd like Kumamoto and another oyster. We'd like to avoid going to the Ferry Building if possible since we also need to go to Oakland Chinatown. Does anyone know if they are likely to have them at the Berkelely Farmers Market or anywhere else? Thanks

There's an inexpensive oyster vendor at the Alamany farmers market in SF.

I have never seen oysters st the Berkeley Farmer's Mkt. Monterrey Fish has nice oysters that you can pick out yourself.

I'm pretty sure I've seen oysters at fish markets in Oakland Chinatown.

Berkeley Bowl normally carries three or more varieties of oysters.
