re: babar ganesh
I think it's been open for a couple of years now. It has a different take on Thai dishes than any place I've been, maybe it's the Malay influence or some kind of regional variation? No heat to it even when I ask for spicy, but the taste is pleasing & the ingredients are really fresh & tasty. I like it better than the other 2 Sunnyside Thai spots. It is really my replacement for the dismal take out Chinese around here.
If I really want Thai I go to Sri, but this is a good asian delivery place. I've always been suprised at how tender the rendang meat is, not at all tough & tasteless.

I've gone there at least once a week since they opened. Very sweet staff. Food is not Sri, but certainly a lot better than the Chinese place Thai Malay replaced. Curries are good. Noodles very good. I wish everything were spicier, but they do attempt to accomodate.
I think they might have switched chefs since initially opening. If anyone knows anything about that, I'd love to confirm this suspicion.
Give it a try and tell them Lauren says hi!
