Downtown markets? butcher, wine, cheese?

I may be moving down town and am curious about any good grocery stores, butchers with good thick steaks, cheese shop, wine shop? What are your favourites?

The Grand Central Market - 3rd and Hill - has very cheap produce, lots of stalls with international ingredients and butcher and seafood stalls as well. THe produce and cook foods are all pretty good here. Can't vouch for the meats and fish, tho.

Sorry. If these things are important to your quality of living, do some research and consider whether you really want to move downtown - ain't no purveyors of gourmet food here. You can get most of those things in Silverlake, where there are nice stores if not the best in town: the Cheese Store of Silverlake on Sunset, Say Cheese (by the Silverlake TJ's) and Silverlake Wine Shop on Glendale blvd. No idea about a butcher.
