Dried Peach Find

repartee Jan 19, 2007 02:20 AM

I'm just sitting here enjoying these wonderful morsels.

We've all had dried apricots and to a lesser degree peaches I guess but these are wonderful. They have a great chewy meaty texture and were procured at Parthenon, the greek shop on Broadway near McDonald. Very addictive

Would love to find dried apricots that are not those tough, little, round flavourless ones usually grown in Turkey, and are more suitable for table hockey than for eating. California dried apricots are fantastic, but I've never been able to get them locally...and BC must have them as well, though I can't find them anywheres....

Again, the Parthenon deli on Broadway & Balaclava has wonderful organic dried apricots. I'll never eat the dried sulphurized ones again
