Vortex in ATL

Is this place still open in Little 5 Points? I went 3 or 4 years ago and had a fabulous burger. Juicy with luscious accompaniments. I'm going to ATL in a couple of weeks and am always on the hunt for a great burger.

  1. Yes, the Vortex in L5P is still open. There's a second location in Midtown as well.

    1. We like The Treehouse in Peachtree Hills for a good burger, also. That said, the weather last week was much more amenable to al fresco there than it is this week.

      1. Mmmm... VORTEX.....

Still alive and doing VERY well as Therese mentioned! Good luck finding a parking space among the Harleys ;-)

It's character is just as exhilerating as it's burgers. Are there other locations in ATL? If so, do they have the same ambience as the original?

The Midtown location isn't as biker-ish as the Little 5 Points location. The Midtown spot is actually kind of chic on the outside... if a skull can be chic, that is!

        2. Just the two restaurants.

          1. The Vortex is great - another place with a biker/rocker kind of vibe that has a good burger is the Highlander in Midtown Promenade on Monroe Dr.
