Greek Isles in Fenway - Review

This is a relocation from Brookline village (i believe) to Peterborough St, and it opened up a few weeks ago. I've been a handful of times, always leaving very satisfied.
Since we're talking about a greek restaurant, I think I should start with the gyro, $8 during lunch. Homemade gyro meat, sliced off the spit, then grilled to get and excellent crispy exterior. Standard gyro topping of lettuce, tomato, and an excellent tzatziki (probably also homemade). About the size you would expect, and it comes with a nice greek salad, with a ton of feta (ask for dressing on the side). Overall, a very good gyro, that I look forward to getting again.
Grilled Lamb kebob (about $12). 2 skewers of lamb with a really nice garlic and lemon flavor. Rice pilaf was very tasty, steamed veggies seemed a little strange, probably just using frozen veggies. Also comes with the same greek salad.
Baked lamb shank ($14). I believe this was covered in a tomato based sauce, then baked. It tasted great and fell of the bone, what more can you ask for.
This place is definetly worth checking out, and fits very well in the same strip as umi, el pelon, and rod dee two. I am anxiously awaiting a return trip to check out the mousaka and pasticio.
