merrick rd., in lynbrook , long island cheap eats?

jan. 28th - need rec. for a yummy inexpensive spot for a bite top eat- anything goes as far as food choices and atmosphere. is there anything close to that location??????????????????

in lynbrook on merrick road,two very good choices are george's cafe next to the movie theatre-great greek food or the metro restaurant about 4 blocks away which is a very good diner with lots of choices.a block from georges is so far so good chinese restaurant for good chinese food.

I haven't tried it yet, but I saw some recommendations for Brennan & Carr in Rockville Centre for Roast Beef sandwiches. Ice Cream Parlor in the above post sounds like another place I want to try...

there is a place on rockaway avenue, about 2-3 blocks from merrick road in valley stream/lynbrook. place is called the ice cream parlour. has GREAT burgers, homemade desserts. an old fashioned coffee shop. i live in nj, went there w/ some friends for lunch. there are also a few nice italian restaurants on the same block.
