I tried Roscoe's a couple of weeks ago. Personally I think it is way over-rated. It is good, but not that good. I like waffles though.

      Hi,

Steak & Ale (on Foothill and Rosemead) has good fried chicken.

I like Conrad's. Every Monday and Wednesday they have a special half fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cole slaw. Can't remember the exact price, but I'm reasonably certain its under $10. Its not great, but every once in a while, it hits the spot.

Total disclosure--I haven't been to the Pasadena location, only the Glendale.

Let's expand - let's do pasadena and then some nominees for best fried chicken in all of LA. I'm still looking, too.

this comes up too frequently, I think, for someone else to re-post that sort of request.

that would be Roscoe's and Roscoe's and Roscoe's and Roscoe's and Roscoe's(in case you want to expand more)!

Honestly, the waffles are the best thing at RC&W. The chicken ain't all that and a side of grits.

The only better chicken I've had was at Aunt Gussies, and they closed 5 years ago!

Is Bill's chicken on Lake still open?

Good luck. I've been here 6 1/2 years and Roscoe's is about the best I've been able to find, and it's usually 'way overcooked. I usually either fry my own or just say The Hell With It and head to Popeye's or KFC. Sorry.

I am SO much more than willing to be proven wrong...

I have found it =). No one really had any good ideas so i just went driving around and wandered into "Big MAma's Rib Shack" The place has AMAZING southern comfort foods. Smoothered pork chops and ox tails and great fried chicken. Go check it out. Let me know what you think

OMG - I LOVE Big Mama's Rib Shack.

I haven't been there in ages.

Their ribs are darn good too.
