Good Chinese near High Park/Bloor West/Junction?

Recently moved and need to compile my "go-to" list for takeout and delivery.

Any suggestions for Chinese in the west end of Toronto would be appreciated.

Already got a few good Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai choices.

PS Not looking for Canadian Chinese food (no radioactive red sauce please).

I've been going to Pho Mi Tri Ky for Vietnamese - decent bun and pho and really close to me so an easy choice, it's on Pacific at Dundas.

I've been meaning to try Sushi Villa on Bloor and Simply Thai is ok....I'm trying to measure my expectations with the convenience of location otherwise I would head down to Spadina any other day.

I have been going to Pho Mi Tri Ky as well. I was hoping that you have found another place.

For sushi, I have been going to Osaka Sushi (Bloor, just east of Indian Road). They are ok, closest to where I am.

For Thai, I have started going to Young Thailand now that they have moved to Dundas temporarily (see my earlier post from a week ago).

Ah, no, Pho Mi Tri is the only one I've found that seems reasonable - I saw a few others along Dundas I think, that seem a bit too sketch for me.

Oh I saw Osaka, I'll have to try that. Funny enough I just got a Young Thailand menu in my mailbox!

Westwood Grill on Annette (just east of Runnymede) has some really nice Chinese. The take-out is pretty good but it's way better when you eat in.

I prefer Yound Thailand to Simply Thai. They have a great Tuesday and Friday Lunch Buffet for $9 if you have a chance.

I live in BWV and so far, Westwood Grill is the best one we've found - we always do delivery, tho. Shanghai beef is tasty as I recall. There are a few chinese places around Royal York and Bloor, just over the river in Etobicoke - seen 'em but never tried 'em.

Rice and Noodle on Queen West at Lansdowne. There may well be some radioactive red sauce dishes on the menu, but I've never had them. Most of the menu is somewhere in between authentic Chinatown fare and your typical take-away. So no red sauce but no chicken feet either.

Oh that is so sad to hear. I was worried about that but hoped someone might have something hidden up their sleeve.

What about a good Chinese place that's as west as possible? Please don't tell me I need to trek to Mississauga to get it!

I do love the Korean along Bloor.

It's a wasteland, as has been discussed recently regarding Chinese in Bloor West Village. You'd be better off sampling Korean along Bloor west of Spadina or simply wandering down Spadina and/or along Dundas.
