Need a pasta recipe to go w/my chicken marsala dish tonight

Hi guys,

I'm making chicken marsala w/mushrooms tonight and need an easy pasta dish...

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Another option for next time is whole wheat pasta ribbons (Hodgson Mill makes them)--very tasty with marsala.

      thanks for all the recs. Ended up going w/the linguini w/ a little butter and actually added some petite peas to it...pretty good.

      The chicken Marsala was amazing. I used Tyler Florence's recipe from foodtv.com...w/out the proscuitto. It was a big hit. Next time, will make more sauce.

        I would use a pasta that would hold the sauce, orechette something like that with a little butter and fresh parsley to catch the wonderful sauce...

          I also like roasted red potatoes tassed with galic, parmesan, parsley, and olive oli with Marsala dishes

            take some garlic and mash it making a paste and to olive oil and let it sit for a few minutes. Add to pasta that has been lightly drained. put in saute pan cook on low and add oil and garlic and do a quick toss add salt pepper seasonings fresh herbs. add some butter if you wish.

              Another vote for plain (very lightly buttered) pasta, Usually linguine or thin spaghetti, but if I'm eating it as a one dish meal, will use extra liquid and pour it all over a deep dish of penne or ziti - sort of like Italian donburi. :)

                I agree that your best off just serving the dish over egg noodles or another pasta, with butter and a little chopped parsely for color and freshness. Any attempt at a sauce would only fight with the marsala flavors.

                  I always serve plain linguine with my chicken marsala. I spoon some of the sauce over the pasta and eat it all together.

                  Doesn't get much easier than that!

                    Keep it simple, since the main dish is rich...so much depends on what you've got in the pantry....cous cous is the first thing that comes to mind, but you might prepare some orzo and butter, or get more adventuresome and prepare something like polenta, on stovetop for five minutes and then bake for about an hour, add some parmesan cheese perhaps, some herbs (fresh marjoram, maybe)....
